SATURDAY REPORTS
All three Saturday fixtures were abandoned due to rain. The
Firsts had faced 17 overs before the rain came at New Longton,
while the second team fixture only saw 5 overs bowled. The story was
the same for the thirds, who bowled 3 overs.
Whilst some games were completed in the league, all the Fylde teams
stayed in the same league positions.

The Sunday team recorded an emphatic victory over neighbours
Norcross. After winning the toss, captain Ellison elected to bat and
after a poor start, Fylde managed to amass 205 in their 45 overs,
which proved far too many for the Norcross side. Will Norris led the
recovery with a typically hard hitting 57.
In reply, the Norcross top order was simply blown away, at one
point being reduced to 21-6 as openers Ellison and Frazer Forster
did the damage. A 50 from Matthew Hedges saved Norcross from being
skittled out, however Forster returned to remove his off stump to
complete the victory, by a margin of 86 runs.
