The Club’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 5th October 2026 at 7pm in the clubhouse.
This is earlier than is mandated in our Constitution, but the Executive Committee believe there is benefit to us holding the meeting at this time to give us the maximum amount of planning time for the 2027 season.
Closer to the date, members will receive the usual AGM documents, including annual accounts and committee reports so they can be viewed ahead of the meeting.
Having reviewed the club’s progress and structure in recent years, the Executive Committee has agreed to add Bar Supervisor to the current list of elected roles. Iain Green has effectively been carrying out the responsibilities of this role over the past six months and intends to continue in the position once it is formally established for 2026/27. In addition, the current House Manager role will be renamed Facilities Manager to better reflect its responsibilities and the clearer separation of facilities management from bar operations. The necessary amendments to the Club Constitution will be proposed at the start of the AGM to formally reflect these changes.
A full list of our current Executive Committee is below:
* Chairperson - Chris Watkinson
* Secretary - Keith Moore
* President – Andrew Farnworth
* Treasurer – Alec Davies
* Facilities Manager – Rachel Phillips
* Ground Manager – Graham Lawton
* Social Secretary – Iain Green
* Safeguarding Officer – Louisa Green
* Head of Senior Cricket – Mike Watkinson
* Head of Women's and Girls Cricket - Sam Sherwood

All of our current officials have stated their intention to stand again for their roles for 2026/27.
Please note however that any member may apply for any Executive Committee position, whether currently filled or vacant. In the event of new applications being received, the position will be decided by a simple majority vote at the AGM. All incumbent officials who are unchallenged will be re-elected via a single vote of approval.
Members wishing to apply for an Executive Committee position should email secretary@fyldecc.co.uk stating:
* The position you wish to apply for
* A brief summary of why you are suitable for the role
Descriptions for all roles can be found here.
Applications must be received by Monday 21st September 2026.
A final list of applicants will be shared with members prior to the AGM, along with other meeting documents.
We look forward to welcoming as many members as possible to the AGM and thank you all for your continued support of our club.
